House Remodeling Project

Since our house did not rent again we decided to do some remodeling before moving back in. Currently we are living on our property in the motor home while the work is being done on the house. A good friend of ours for a long time Dan Lovelace is pulling off the wallpaper, preparing the walls to receive new paint, and then will paint most of the house. There is one room that will not require painting as it was done just a few years ago.

As you can see from the attached images several things have already taken place. Once the painting was done the Kitchen, and Utility Room tile installation began as you can see in these photos. We plan to create a foyer near the back door that will extend the tile from the kitchen so that when you enter you are not right on the carpet. You can see the kitchen in the photo to the right, and also the arc that will form the foyer is visible in the other photo. The arc goes from the edge of the bar to the edge of the brick forming the fire place hearth.

We have decided to do some upgrading in other areas too. We have installed a new ceiling fan in the dinnette area that you can barely see in the photo of the dinette area in this picture.

This picture shows the new tile going into the laundry room from the kitchen.

This picture shows the new yellow laundry room.

The new color for the formal dining area is red as shown in this photo. As you can see the final trim has not been completed so the area near the baseboards are not painted.

We hope the tile installation will be finished by Friday before Easter. We have carpet folks coming to provide an estimate on that day for the new carpet we want to install.
I will try to provide a new update when all is finished before we begin our move back in.
